Impacting the Lives of Over 120,000 People in Uganda
Southeastern Uganda has long faced critical challenges in
accessing clean water,
with 81% of the population
struggling to secure safe drinking water.
Families often
allocate up to 22% of their income to obtain this vital resource.
32% of Ugandans
travel over 30 minutes daily for safe drinking water. This responsibility is assigned to
women and girls in 70% of households, impacting their safety and access to education and work.
By prioritizing communities in urgent need, we create real
environmental and social impact.

Addressing Clean Water Needs & Local Vulnerabilities in Uganda
We implemented our project across 11 districts in Eastern Uganda, regions that are severely underprivileged and underdeveloped compared to African and global standards. This area was prioritized due to its complex and interrelated challenges, many of which are directly linked to lack of clean water:
Lack of Clean Water
We installed boreholes at strategic locations, accounting for their proximity to vulnerable communities and existing boreholes for maximum impact.
Prevalence of Waterborne Diseases
By providing clean water, we improve overall community health by drastically reducing the spread of waterborne diseases.
Inadequate Hygiene Practices
We conduct hygiene campaigns to educate communities on proper water handling and sanitation practices, leading to improved public health.
Child Health and Mortality Issues
Access to safe water significantly reduces the risk of diseases in children, improving survival rates and cognitive development.
Gender Disparities in Water Collection
By providing water sources close to residential areas, we alleviate the burden on women and girls, giving them more time for education and work.
Limited Educational Opportunities
Children -especially girls- are able to attend school more regularly when they spend less time collecting water.
Economic Instability
Clean water access reduces household spending on water, freeing up resources for education, healthcare, and other essentials.
Deforestation
By offering clean water, the need to boil water with firewood is eliminated, helping to preserve forests and reduce emissions.
Our Unique Approach to Climate Solutions
Support Regenerative Investments
Circular Re-investment
Our approach transforms your borehole investments into high-value, carbon credit-generating emission reduction projects. This model maintains the existing project and paves the way for new initiatives, ensuring long-term sustainability and impact.
Direct Impact
When purchasing emission reduction credits directly from the project developer, you eliminate the need for intermediaries and gain a direct line to the projects’ stakeholders.
Robust Methodology
Combining baseline survey outputs with strategic location selection and safe drilling techniques, we create science-based, measurable value and generate Verified Emission Reductions of 45,551 tCO2eq per year.
Create Sustainable Value
Community Focus
Our project prioritizes local engagement to identify and meet the unique challenges facing communities in eastern Uganda. Through our local partners, we regularly conduct surveys and receive community feedback.
Additionality
Addressing critical community needs, the project creates impactful changes that would not occur without external support.
Transparency
Gold Standard certification demonstrates that we are accountable for providing detailed, open disclosures about our operations, supported by regular water quality assessments.
Make a Lasting Impact
Sustainable Development
This project maintains its impact with carbon credit revenues reinvested to support continuous infrastructure maintenance.
Durable Hand Pumps
The boreholes are equipped with hand pumps which are specially designed to be resilient for over 15 years of use.
Regular Maintenance
Trained technicians ensure the longevity of each borehole through periodic, GPS-guided maintenance for consistent and reliable operations.
