Stakeholder engagement is an essential part of project verification processes. Gold Standard defines the aim of stakeholder consultation as “to meaningfully engage stakeholders and discuss potential environmental, social and economic impacts (both positive contributions and potential risks) that projects may have during the design, planning, implementation and operational stages and to establish an ongoing mechanism for feedback in consultation with stakeholders.”
For that, we give specific focus to stakeholder feedback throughout the design of our projects. A Local Stakeholder Meeting is held to gather information from all parties that will be affected by project implementation. Following the meeting, a Stakeholder Consultation Report is written, which is then shared for stakeholders who have additional feedback or who could not attend the meeting in person.
Any additional feedback can be submitted during the Stakeholder Feedback Round, in which a project-specific Stakeholder Consultation Report and a non-technical summary of the project are made available for a 30-day period. You can submit your feedback via the form below, email or telephone
Find below Net Zero’s projects that are currently undergoing Stakeholder Consultation Processes:
Net Zero’s Safe Water in Uganda Project supports access to clean water to rural communities across Uganda through the construction of 61 boreholes. The objective of the project is to reduce carbon emissions through water treatment by drilling boreholes and to improve the living conditions of around 187,000 people living in Eastern Uganda, by providing clean drinking water within a reasonable proximity.
