What happened
The Sustainable Blue Economy Partnership has launched its 2026 joint multinational call under Horizon Europe. TÜBİTAK is among 33 participating funding organisations from 28 countries.
The call seeks research and innovation projects that support a fair, inclusive move towards renewable and circular marine economic activity. An international review panel will assess proposals, while national funding organisations will finance the selected partners.
Applicants must meet both the international call rules and the national requirements of their participating countries. Each consortium must include partners in at least three countries and must be supported by at least three funders participating in the call.
Why it matters
Turkish organisations can seek national support through TÜBİTAK’s 1071 National Funding Programme. They will need to coordinate their proposal with international partners while completing separate submissions through the international SBEP system and TÜBİTAK’s project application system.
The call offers Turkish research and innovation participants a route to work in multinational projects focused on the transition of marine economic activity towards renewable and circular models.
What's next
International first-stage pre-proposals are due by 15:00 CET on 16 November 2026. Turkish national first-stage applications must be filed by 23:59 Türkiye time on 23 November 2026. The deadline for electronic signatures on national applications is 23:59 Türkiye time on 26 November 2026.
TÜBİTAK will later announce the national application deadline for applicants that pass the international assessment stage.
