The European Commission has opened a public consultation on its proposed list of countries outside the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) that could be allowed to receive waste shipped from the EU.
The Commission announced the feedback exercise on 18 September 2026. Its proposal concerns destinations for EU waste movements after May 2027.
