What happened
Türkiye’s charging network counted 47,908 connectors at the end of August 2026, an increase of roughly 2.7% from 46,665 at the end of July. The figures were published in the Energy Market Regulatory Authority’s monthly charging-services market statistics for August.
The August network comprised 27,044 alternating-current (AC) connectors and 20,864 direct-current (DC) connectors. Together, the two categories added 1,243 connectors over the month.
ZES recorded the largest connector total among the operators named in the statistics, with 5,616. Trugo had 3,900 and Voltrun had 2,640. Wat, Eşarj, Zeplin, Eka Enerji, Otopriz, Astor and Oncharge were listed after those three operators.
Why it matters
The increase in charging infrastructure coincided with further growth in Türkiye’s electric-vehicle population. The number of electric vehicles rose from 464,873 at July-end to 476,934 at the end of August, an increase of 12,061 vehicles.
For fleet managers, site owners and charging-network operators, the statistics provide a current reference point for the scale and composition of the national network. They also distinguish between AC and DC equipment, allowing readers to track deployment across the two charging types rather than relying on a single aggregate figure.
The operator figures show that connector deployment is spread across multiple named networks. ZES’s reported total was higher than those of Trugo and Voltrun, the next two operators identified with the largest counts.
What to do next
Organisations assessing charging provision in Türkiye can use the August data as a monthly benchmark, comparing their own rollout or procurement plans with the reported 47,908-connector total and the AC/DC split. They should also monitor subsequent monthly statistics for changes in network deployment and electric-vehicle numbers.
The August release reports the latest available monthly totals in the supplied source. It does not provide a future connector target or a timetable for further deployment.
