What happened
Registration is continuing for the second Energy Strategies Conference, which is planned for Ankara on 20–21 October 2026. Attendance requires registration. Prospective delegates should check which attendance category applies to them, while those paying the fee must submit a payment receipt through the registration form.
TESAB organises the conference on a biennial basis. The 2026 edition is being held in partnership with Ankara Social Sciences University, according to Enerji Günlüğü.
Why it matters
The arrangements set out the practical conditions for participation in a conference centred on electrification, grid security and infrastructure resilience. They also distinguish between categories that can register free of charge and attendees required to pay, giving organisations and individuals a clear basis for planning their participation.
For paid attendees, providing a receipt is part of the registration process rather than an optional administrative step. The organiser has said that a paid registration is not considered complete until that document has been uploaded.
Who can attend without charge
TESAB members, members of CIGRE Türkiye, paper authors, students, academics and employees of public institutions are eligible to attend at no cost. Participants outside those groups are charged TRY 2,000, including VAT.
Details of the participation terms and registration process are available through the conference registration form. Attendees who are uncertain whether they qualify for free participation should review those conditions before making a payment.
Conference focus and paper topics
The stated theme for ESK 2026 concerns the strategic enablers of electrification, with particular attention to critical minerals and critical infrastructure. The programme is framed around increasing global competition, electricity-grid security and the resilience of infrastructure.
The conference will accept papers in five subject areas: climate risks, digitalisation, storage and flexibility, legal regulation, and demand management. These topics span technical, regulatory and system-management aspects of the energy transition.
What to do next
Those intending to attend should complete the registration process for the relevant category. Paid participants need to upload their payment receipt with the form; the event is scheduled to begin in Ankara on 20 October 2026.
