What happened
Turkey’s Energy Market Regulatory Authority adopted two board decisions on 15 October 2026 to extend data-publication requirements for energy and environmental markets.
Decision 14967 requires companies active in the electricity, natural gas, emissions trading and YEK-G markets to disclose information through an Internal Information Platform to be established by EPİAŞ. The requirements are organised into five groups: transmission, generation, imports and exports, storage, and other information. In total, the decision sets out 19 disclosure headings.
The same decision also defines disclosure obligations for the newly established emissions trading market.
Decision 14968 applies to electricity and natural-gas market participants. It identifies 150 separate data-disclosure requirements, grouped under nine main areas and 43 categories, for submissions to seven institutions through EPİAŞ’s Transparency Platform.
Why it matters
Companies operating in the affected markets will need to identify which platform, category and recipient applies to their data. The decisions extend reporting expectations across core energy markets and add requirements connected to emissions trading.
Background
The board based both decisions on the Regulation on Transparency and Market-Abusive Conduct in Energy and Environmental Markets, published in February.
What's next
The two decisions, numbered 14967 and 14968, are dated 15 October 2026. Market participants covered by them should assess the relevant disclosure categories and reporting obligations.
